Kristen Usich presently lives in San Francisco, and is the co-owner of Boom! Model and Talent Agency. Her many years of experience working on the production side of TV commercials, print ads, and fashion shoots helped in the long process of bringing this "labor of love" to life. She feels most at home in her small cottage on Nantucket, and hopes to celebrate and share her many special memories of the island through this story.

Nancy Usich lives in Avon, Connecticut. She has taught elementary school for 24 years and was Avon's 1995 Teacher of the Year. Among some of her awards is the Connecticut's Celebration of Excellence Award presented to her in 2002. Many summers were spent on the beaches of Nantucket with her three children-Jed, Kristen, and Jon-and her husband, Bud. She can be seen in a beach chair-with visor and dark glasses-reading, thinking, and watching the waves roll in but always, always imagining.

Rusty and Amanda Gibbs met while attending the Northwest College of Art. They soon fell in love, got married, and built a house. They work together in their art business, called Gibbs Graphics, doing fine art and commercial art. When not busy in their studio, the Gibbs enjoy spending time gardening, hiking, and skiing near their home in Leavenworth, Washington.
